The non-profit World Water Trust has revealed a new project that utilizes blockchain technology and cryptocurrency to improve and share the availability of clean water worldwide. Called the “Water4People Project”, the initiative also involves celebrities, who are donating their time and money to the cause.
After receiving a push from pro-bitcoin celebrities such as Jamie Foxx and Jemima Khan, CoinFund , a non-profit that aims to provide clean water to children in the developing world, announced the launch of the Crypto Water Trust , a new initiative to distribute clean water through the blockchain and help raise awareness of the issue.
